ESCA celebrates 3 outstanding appointments within its community
Hatem Ben Salem appointed new General Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies (Tunisia)
A visiting professor at ESCA Ecole de Management in the “Global Study Tours” programs, Hatem Ben Salem was appointed General Director National Institute of Strategic Studies in last July. This position directly reports to the President of the Republic of Tunisia. Minister of Education from 2008 to 2011, Hatem Ben Salem will continue to ensure, by special derogation, its interventions at ESCA Ecole de Management.
Jaime Alonso Gomez appointed new Dean of University of San Diego School of Business Administration (USA)
ESCA Ecole de Management is proud to regularly welcome MBA participants from the University of San Diego and introduce them to “Doing Business in Morocco and North Africa” as part of the Global Study Tour program. Last April, reinforcing their cooperation, ESCA and USD associated during the organization of an research workshop on "Competitive Business Practices in Emerging Economies", in the presence of Moroccan and American research teachers and Professor Jaime Alonso Gomez.
In August, University of San Diego School of Business Administration announced the appointment of Jaime Alonso Gomez as its new dean. This nomination rewards the extensive international experience of Professor Alonso Gomez as a teacher, consultant, researcher and member of various boards on five continents. Professor Alonso Gomez previously served as Founding Dean of EGADE in Mexico and served on the boards of various international accreditation bodies (EQUIS, AACSB, GMAC). ESCA Ecole de Management, through its President, has sent its warmest and cordial congratulations to Jaime Alonso Gomez on the occasion of the appointment.
Thami Ghorfi appointed on AACSB Board for MENA region
The prestigious American organization AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) has appointed Thami Ghorfi, President of ESCA Ecole de Management, member of the Advisory Board for the MENA region. Thami Ghorfi, representing North Africa alongside Pr. Sherif Kamel (American University in Cairo), sits in this advisory committee with ten other deans and presidents from Middle East universities and business schools. The missions of this board are to develop the strategy of the American organization in the region and disseminate best academic and institutional practices. The AACSB label rewards the best business schools for the quality of their management training.
